Dr. George S. Tellam has provided foot and ankle care in North Florida and Southern Georgia since 1986. He is an honors graduate of the University of Southern California and the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco.
Dr. Tellam is always looking for new treatment options for his patients when traditional treatment plans are ineffective in relieving his patient's pain.
An ankle replacement is an excellent option for treating ankle arthritis. This procedure involves removing part of the worn away joint and replacing it with metal components. A spacer made of a special plastic (called polyethylene) is then placed between the metal components.
